Our Design
Process

Every home begins with a conversation. Our process is collaborative and intentionally paced — built on listening closely and refining together in order to shape a design that feels aligned with how you live now and how you want to live in your updated or new home.

Each phase is personal and fluid, guided by transparency and shared understanding.

01    Initial Consultation & Collaboration

Initial Consultation

Our process begins by getting to know the unique rhythms of your daily life. Through thoughtful conversation and a detailed walkthrough of your home, we identify what brings you ease and where we can eliminate friction. This deep dive into how you move through your space allows us to design with clarity and intention from the very beginning.

We view design as a true partnership, shaping our collaboration around the level of involvement that feels right for you. Throughout the journey, we share our reasoning openly — explaining the “why” behind every material, lighting choice, and layout detail. By aligning our expertise with your vision, we ensure the final environment authentically supports your next chapter.

concept development

With a clear understanding of your goals, we begin shaping the visual and functional identity of your home. This phase includes early floor plans, layout options, and a curated aesthetic direction that sets the foundation for everything ahead.

We explore:

The look and feel of the home

The mood, atmosphere, and overall style direction.

Lighting approach

How natural and built lighting will create warmth, clarity, and visual comfort.

Early layout ideas

How rooms connect, how you move through the space, and where key moments of comfort or function should live.

The design language

Whether the space feels sculptural, calm, minimal, soft, tailored, or something entirely personal to you.

Color direction

The tones, neutrals, and accents that will shape the personality of the home.

How you want the home to support your routines

Cooking, hosting, decompressing, working, resting, or family life.

Material ideas

The types of woods, stones, textures, and finishes that feel most like you.

design-execution

Once the direction feels right, we translate it into a complete, detailed design.

This is the stage where ideas become real — where every choice is defined, refined, and prepared for implementation. During this phase, we finalize:

Updated floor plans

That show how each room is laid out and how the space will function.

Custom elements

Cabinetry, built-ins, and bespoke furniture designed specifically for your home

Exact materials and finishes

The woods, stones, fabrics, metals, and textures chosen for your home.

Furnishings and décor

Sofas, tables, rugs, artwork, and accessories that complete the home.

Lighting details and fixtures

Where each light goes and what it will look like: the style, scale, warmth, and quality of illumination.

Clear visual presentations

That show how all of these elements come together, room by room.

Behind the scenes, we prepare the drawings, measurements, and instructions for any construction, and we manage sourcing and ordering for all selected furnishings, lighting, and décor.

Our team coordinates directly with contractors and vendors to ensure every piece, custom or purchased, arrives and installs exactly as intended.

project-management

We oversee the complex logistics of your project with meticulous attention to detail. This phase is about transparency and precision, making sure the creative vision is executed without compromising quality or timeline. We manage the heavy lifting of coordination so that the process remains seamless and stress-free for you.

By bridging the gap between design and execution, we protect your investment and ensure that the transition from a technical plan to a lived-in reality is handled with professional care.

installation

The installation is a coordinated, full-service process where our vision finally takes shape. We manage every detail of the delivery and setup — from the placement of large-scale furniture to the precise hanging of art and window treatments. Our team oversees onsite assembly and styling so that every element is handled with care and positioned exactly as planned.

Once the installation is complete, we walk through the finished space together. Everything is in place, styled, and fully considered so you can experience the design as intended.

This final step is about ensuring the space feels natural, intuitive, and ready for daily life. It’s the moment where the design truly becomes yours.
